HELPING HANDS HANDS GARDEN ART and TABLE TOPS

During all Art Club events, CHAP has a mosaic project for the parents. All mosaic projects are created out of found objects, re-cycled materials and the imagination of the children we serve. The hand shown is an old prop from Diesel Jeans that has been covered with thousands of re-cycled 1/4 inch colorful computer components. These insanely detailed projects are a great example of how nervous energy is transformed into creative energy through the simple joy of making art. Parents of children with long-term healthcare needs have a connection to their children that requires them to be on call at all times. These parents have found that CHAP Art Factory is a place to take a time-out while their children are making art with teaching artists and new friends. Parents have time to read, talk with other parents and a few have even laid down on a sofa and fallen asleep in the middle of a sea of children painting, beading and letting off a bit of steam. Helping Hands Garden Art is the project that encourages the parents to gather and make a communal work of art that is accessible to every mom and dad.
