CHAP's young artists' original works of art in crayon, markers and paint have been transformed into works of floor art in silk, wool and hemp through the magic of RUGSTAR of Berlin and their amazing rug artists in Nepal. CHAP Art Rugs are produced with the RUG MARK label, a global nonprofit working to end child labor and offer educational opportunities for children in India, Nepal and Pakistan. Sales of CHAP Art Rugs help to fund our art programs in Portland's children's hospitals.
The handmade line of CHAP Art Rugs will be shown in the CHAP Couture Room at CHAP's Holiday Bizarre November 28 through December 24, 2008 or by appointment in the CHAP studio. 40+ original designs are available, ranging from 2' x 2' to 7' x 20'.
